The origins of the name for Five Cent Hallucinations came as an ‘ah ha’ moment, I pondered on this for too long. It’s a play words where “cent” becomes “sense,” because within Schizophrenia hallucinations affects the five senses. Five Cent Hallucinations aims to balance the serious nature of Schizophrenia Spectrum Disorders, with elements of hope, understanding and support. I want to create a platform for discussion, education, and resources while acknowledging the dark side of these experiences. With this duality of recognizing the depth of suffering while fostering hope and recovery, I wish to resonate with those affected and promote greater empathy and awareness.
